The team at Chester Machine Tools have worked together to create our new digital read out system for our new machines. These will be fitted to our lathes, mills and drills that feature 2 or 3 axis.
We began with a brief from head office;
- We wanted to upgrade our DRO’s to match our branding.
- The scales had to be compatible for 2 and 3 axis DRO but we also wanted to offer customers the chance to upgrade to 4 or 5 axis using soft keys.
- The casing had to be updated to make these a higher quality feature for our machines.
Aesthetics:
The colour scheme now consists of our famous Chester yellow and a modern, cool toned grey. We have also increased the size of the buttons to make our scale more user friendly. The casing for our DRO’s are now aluminium, making them more durable and lightweight.
Technical Features:
We have ensured our new digital read outs are compatible with Sino Scales. There is a helpful power off memory function to reduce set up time in your factory and protect your production should you have a power cut.
There is also an added CSS (Constant Surface Speed) feature for our variable speed lathes.
